Greetings

Our company was established in 1913 by Masayoshi Hori who had the ideal “Prevention and treatment of illnesses for sustaining life” and had the company credo “For the world and for the people”, and, since then, has developed and manufactured medicines based on natural drugs over the long period of 100 years. Especially, the “Kyushin” cardiotonics gains an excellent reputation and trust from home and overseas customers now.

Japan is facing the world-class long-lived society, and the concern for health by the people has increased more and more. We will offer anxiety-free and safe OTC drugs to respond to the people’s expectations and bear a part of self-medication in the future.

History

Feb. 1913 Masayoshi Hori established "Hori Hakuai Yakubo" in Tajima-cho, Asakusa-ku (present, Nishi-Asakusa 2-chome, Taito-ku), Tokyo.
Sep. 1923 Moved the store to Okazaki-cho, Kyobashi-ku (present, Hacchobori 2-chome, Chuo-ku).
Jul. 1933 Changed business name to "Kyushin Seiyaku Sho".
Mar. 1938 Moved the factory to Wada Honcho, Suginami-ku (present, Wada 1-chome) for production facility expansion.
May 1945 Burned down 2nd factory (Nishi-Osaki 1-chome, Shinagawa-ku) by air raids.
Mar. 1946 Moved the 2nd factory (Nerima Factory) to Nerima-cho 5-chome, Itabashi-ku (present, Nerima 4-chome, Nerima-ku).
Mar. 1947 Separated the sales department for independence and established "Hori Trading Co., Ltd.". Masayoshi Hori took office as a president of the company. Only manufacturing department was left as "Kyushin Seiyaku Sho".
Jan. 1950 "Hori Trading Co., Ltd." and "Kyushin Seiyaku Sho" were merged to form "Kyushin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.". Masayoshi Hori became a president of the company.
Dec. 1964 Built the head office building on present place.
Aug. 1965 Moved the head office on present place.
May 1966 Masayoshi Hori took office as a chairman. Taisuke Hori took office as a president of the company.
Oct. 1967 Separated the sales department for independence and established "Kyushin Trading Co., Ltd.". Masami Hori took office as a president of the company.
Oct. 1970 Closed the Nerima Factory, and Built "Suginami 2nd factory" and "Research Laboratories" on Wada 1-chome, Suginami-ku for business expansion.
Jan. 1975 Separated the advertising department for independence and established "Hori Kikaku Co., Ltd.". Masami Hori took office as a president of the company.
Sep. 1981 Built new "Research Laboratories" on Wada 1-chome, Suginami-ku.
May 1989 Taisuke Hori took office as a chairman. Masami Hori took office as a president of the company.
Jun. 1998 Built new "Suginami factory" on Wada Suginami-ku.
Feb. 2000 Masanori Hori took office as a president of the company.
Oct. 2007 Absorbed Hori Kikaku Co., Ltd. into Kyushin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd..
